Our Independent Learning Centre is looking for self-directed, detail-oriented individuals with a strong sense of urgency. to join our team of passionate and purpose driven Administrative Service Officers. This role will ensure ILC clients receive exceptional service through one-stop administrative support through services like registrations, enrolments, educational documents and final test administration.

 

The successful candidates will work closely with the Academic Services team to provide a delightful experience to our students in support of their success.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

As the Administrative Services Officer, you will:

  • Serve and delight our clients by assisting students with queries regarding registration, enrolment and other general (non-academic) enquires and concerns
  • Provide information regarding ILC programs, services, policies, enrolment procedures and eligibility requirements
  • Refer students to the appropriate service area who can have quality conversations to ensure their academic needs are met
  • Process student enrolments verifying students have the necessary prerequisite courses as per Ministry of Education requirements
  • Assist parents/students attending English and French Day Schools regarding procedures, course availability, enrolments and students status
  • Support final test administration, prepare student documentation and maintain student information systems
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions and produce related reports
  • Collaborate with and support the Academic Services Team including ILC Lead teachers to optimize student support and success
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

 

  • A college diploma in Business Administration or related field, with 1+ yrs. in a customer service environmentExperience working as Administrative Services professional or in a customer service role
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated experience providing service to diverse groups
  • Solutions driven individual with excellent judgement and problem solving abilities
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent people skills with a proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Comfortable working with technology including Student Records Systems and using various software applications, MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and AS/400
  • Highly developed English communication skills – oral and written
  • Bilingual (English/French) both written and spoken (preferred)
