    TVO's Project Management Office (PMO) defines and maintains standards and a community of practice for project management within the organization. The PMO strives to standardize and introduce consistencies in the management of projects across TVO. The PMO provides guidance related to PMO processes and policies, oversees the work of project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop project process and programs. The Project Manager ensures that the project milestones are met and that budget, time and scope are adhered to. The successful candidate will plan, execute and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget and quality needs. You will also oversee communication, risk, quality as well as people change management associated with each project.


    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Co-ordinates the status of assigned cross-platform projects, ensuring that all relevant contributors and stakeholders are engaged and tasks and deadlines are established
    • Sets and manages an integrated schedule for major cross-platform projects
    • Works collaboratively with product, business and  technical team members to identify and prioritize requirements, following TVO development processes
    • Creates and maintains daily/weekly/monthly project schedules and progress reports as per established practices
    • Leads regular project status meetings
    • Assists the PMO in developing methods for consistent delivery of projects throughout the organization
    • Assists the PMO in designing, implementing and maintaining common standards and best practices for project management including: project charters, schedules, budget, resource management, risk assessment, change management and communications
    • Defines, tracks and executes projects in a consistent and effective manner, in order to maximize project successes across all product teams
    • Manages assigned projects to ensure they are proceeding according to scope/quality, timelines and budget
    • Develops effective relationships and communicates with all levels across the organization
    • Anticipates project issues and proactively works with others to resolve problems


    • University degree or college diploma required
    • 5+ years experience in Project Management in a technology or product development capacity
    • Familiarity and experience with application development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
    • Experience/Exposure with Learning Management technology (e.g. VLE, LMS, e-learning)
    • Technical background in software development, web and mobile development or Business Analysis is an asset
    • PMP certification or working towards certification would be an asset
    • Prior experience in organizational change management and leading enterprise process improvement initiatives
    • Proven ability to lead and work well in team environments
    • Demonstrated flexibility with work assignments, working quickly, efficiently, establishing priorities, and working effectively under pressure to meet tight and shifting timelines
    • Innovative, creative thinker with strong and proven analytic and critical thinking skills
    • Highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to work independently
    • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
    • Strong facilitation and communication skills
    • Excellent business acumen
