    This is a truly exciting time to be at TVO. We are on a path of transformational change and the Vice President, Product Development, Marketing & Revenue will drive forward and impact critical pillars of our strategic directions. We are at the onset of our Strategic Directions 2.0 and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse Executive and leadership team to build self-generated revenues and grow our financial sustainability by developing, branding and bringing products to market. Reporting to our CEO, you will model, lead and support a positive, proactive and outcome focused culture that embraces change, while demonstrating TVO’s values.

     

    Accountability: 

    • Participate in the development and implementation of the strategy, objectives and policies of TVO
    • Drive TVO’s values-based culture
    • Promote effectiveness through candid, timely and transparent communication
    • Lead your team to achieve high standards of individual and team performance and contribute to a culture of learning, accountability, creativity and innovation
    • Optimize revenue streams including philanthropic initiatives and business development strategies for growth
    • Partner with Digital Learning and Current Affairs and Documentaries Divisions in the delivery of innovative educational products, in-depth current affairs and ground breaking documentaries
    • Oversee the people and processes required to bring an idea from fruition to launch, blending disciplined business accuracy with innovation and creativity
    • Enable cross functional collaboration at all stages from ideation through to innovation and product launch
    • Work closely with business intelligence and web development teams in the design and implementation of the product lifecycle
    • Oversee continuous process improvement opportunities and identify solutions to enhance the customer and student experience
    • Oversee product marketing and branding initiatives to drive use of TVO’s innovative learning products

    Qualifications:

    • At least five years of experience in a senior leadership position in the media, digital, tech or start-up space
    • A university or post-graduate degree, or experiential equivalent
    • Entrepreneurial individual, with strong business acumen, strategic agility, vision and execution orientation
    • Driven by the desire to make a difference in the lives of Ontarians in a mission-based organization
    • Proven ability to manage and lead in a complex environment, working with ambiguity and complexity
    • Demonstrated experience driving individual revenue streams and positioning the organization for success
    • Experience bringing innovative products to market, with a focus on product development, branding and the customer experience
    • Deep knowledge of web and mobile technologies and UX practices
    • Demonstrated experience leading people with a proven ability to inspire, lead by example, and communicate clear roles and expectations
    • Pro-active, credible and dynamic professional who inspires confidence
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, with cross functional teams, creative and technical leaders and employees
